Feeling lively again. Had a bit of a spring clean today. Dashed around the shops and went up to the organic farm for our meat, as heavy snow was expected in the peaks for this evening. Last week we tried to get up to the farm, which is on the top of Riber hill, only to discover the road was covered in ice. By that time it was too late to back out and we just had to keep on going up the narrow, icy, lane. We slid around a bit in our little Smart Roadster but managed to make it to the top eventually. The trip back down was terrifying, but I went very slowly. It was also intimidating as I had one of those 4x4s right up my ass. We have a tiny sports car with a soft top, and I kept imagining being literally run over the top of by the guy if he got into a slide. These guys are menaces in the countryside as well as the city! Relative risk perception is a funny phenomenon. Imagine going to an organic farm because you think pesticides and antibiotics are dangerous, and then getting killed by a 4×4 on the way back!

Still waiting for the snow.
